We used the same high quality T5 luminaire’s to upgrade the car park lighting. The perimeter lights were controlled with a photocell and the general area controlled with microwave detectors. This meant that when there was over 30 minutes of inactivity the lights in that particular area would switch off. The car park was never in total darkness due to localised luminaire’s being on permanently during the night. Because this was an upgrade the existing cabling was re-used and tested during the installation and the system was permanently energised ,this allowed the installation of emergency lighting to be incorporated into the system.
